First Robot Marathon Competition

Held from 24 to 27 February 2011, the occasion which took location in Osaka, Japan turns out to be the 1st game marathon in the world, held where the contributors are the robots runners. To prove who’s the best superior, robots that become the game players need to cover the tracks and run as far as 42.2 km.

The match is very interesting, for people who wish to follow the game, there was available an UStream video streaming service which broadcast this robot marathon match directly.

Organized by Vstone, the creator of the robot Robovie-PC, the match purposes to examine the ability of the robot in navigating the line track or path which have been set up from start towards the finish line.

Robovie-PC of course participating in this competition. Robots which have supported the accuracy of navigation with 1.3 megapixel camera and 1.6 GHz processor, Robovie-PC predicted as a hard rival who challenged the other robots.
