Robokit perception kit
Robotic perception kit allows you to experience what it feels robot endowed with only an ultrasonic sonar and infrared sensor. Kit for robot perception of the world, created by Paul Granzhonom (Paul Granjon), includes goggles, a helmet and an electronic device that allows a person to see the world through the eyes of a small robot.
I must say that glasses are absolutely transparent, so people are deprived of the visual perception of the world and in the same way as the robot can not “see the world through the eyes” in the truest sense of the word.
The helmet is equipped with an ultrasonic sensor and an infrared beacon, which are connected with LEDs “blind” glasses. The ultrasonic sensor sends an LED panel located inside points, information on the obstacles encountered on the road, while the IR beacon indicates if there is anywhere around other people in similar glasses or robots.
If the sensors detect another robot, the corresponding LED illuminates and people in the “blind” glasses may, in accordance with information given to him to act like a robot.
The participants of this interaction can be both people in a “blind” glasses, and real mobile robots, equipped with the same sensors as the sensors on the helmet-men robots: mobile robots, and people involved in the experiment can detect each other in space and interact in the program.
